Inhale & Exhale, today is International Yoga day! Today we celebrate peace and harmony as we discuss how yoga came about. 

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originates in ancient India. It started during the Indus-Sarasvati civilization and it can be tracked down to northern India for over 5,000 years. Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj” meaning “to join” or “to unite.”

For the past year as a company, we started doing virtual yoga classes twice a week. Even 10-minute yoga stretches have made a huge impact on our bodies and mindset. We highly recommend looking into the benefits of Yoga and the different types of yoga practices there are. Yoga can be for everyone, all types of people/levels/limitations, and much more. There may be barriers during certain practices but modifications seem to quite always do the trick.
